Tierra Colectiva

Rooted in the spirit of Isla Memoria and Handle with Care, this section gathers participatory projects and collective actions grounded in community, resistance, and spatial reclamation. Through workshops, collaborative design, and site-specific interventions, the artist works with neighborhoods to reimagine abandoned or neglected spaces as platforms for gathering, protest, and public memory. These socially engaged works challenge top-down control—such as that imposed by la junta—and instead affirm shared authorship, local agency, and care as a form of political activism. Projects include work with La Puerta collective and various community-led transformations of public space with Taller Creando Sin Encargos.
