My practice weaves together memory, cultural identity, and place through material exploration. Working across sculpture, digital media, and installation, I engage with materials ranging from ceramics and altered objects to VR, film, and print. Materiality is central to my process—each element is chosen for its capacity to carry history, emotion, and cultural weight.
Two core themes recur in my work: Isla Memoria, which reflects on Puerto Rico as both a real and imagined space of memory, and Handle with Care, a framework for exploring fragility, resilience, and the ethics of care. These ideas take shape in tactile, layered compositions that invite intimacy, reflection, and emotional engagement.
Rooted in my Puerto Rican heritage and shaped by my experience of migration, my work often extends beyond the studio. I participate in community-based design and build projects, where collective making and spatial storytelling become part of a larger inquiry into belonging, resistance, and cultural transformation.
